Posted by Dan Ryan on Apr 21, 2017 1:00:00 PM

Ah, the desk lunch. The practice is also known as eating "al desko," which loosely translates to "the saddest part of the work day."

How sad is it? There's an entire website dedicated to sharing the sad desk lunches of workers around the world: SadDeskLunch.com.

Let's just say the desk lunches featured on that site aren't exactly culinary masterpieces...

In fact, there's a chance that you're reading this while you eat lunch at your desk right now.

If so, stop! Grab your lunch, head outside or to the cafeteria and leave your al desko days behind.

There are a number of reasons why it's a good idea to leave your work area for a little bit and enjoy your lunch elsewhere.

Make It Yours: 2 Reasons to Choose Custom Card Accessories Over Stock Products

Posted by Dan Ryan on Nov 11, 2016 2:00:00 PM

When shopping for a badge reel, badge holderlanyard or other card accessory, you have a variety of things that you need to consider before making a purchase.

You'll ask yourself questions like:

  • How do I want these accessories to attach to the wearer?
  • What kind of accessory best fits my credentials?
  • Do I need to buy different accessories for different personnel?

These questions will help you zero in on the perfect card-carrying accessory for you.

However, there's another question that you should ask yourself that could have an even bigger impact than anything you choose above:

"Do I want custom card accessories or stock products?"

The "custom vs. stock" argument has been going on for as long as products like custom lanyards and custom badge reels have existed, and there's really no right or wrong answer.

Stock products will be great for customers looking for something quick, with cost being a primary concern. For other organizations, spending a little more for an eye-catching custom product is worth the wait.

Your office is getting ready to launch its new employee badge program, and you need to buy new ID badge holders.

Where do you begin?

When it comes to choosing this common ID accessory, many people will have only a vague idea of what they need: "some plastic thing to carry the card, and then wear it too."

Accurate, but not very helpful!

In many cases, people are unaware of how many options there are for something as simple as an ID badge holder. Think of all the possibilities: Rigid. Flexible. Color. Clear. Shielded. Multi-card. Arm-band. Credential wallet. Premium vinyl.

The list goes on and on. It's enough to overwhelm, and definitely makes the buying process much more difficult.

However, it's a lot easier to zero in on the perfect badge holder for your needs if you're able to narrow down the list of options by asking yourself a series of questions.

We've got the questions, you've got the answers
